The system of government used by FedCom was specifically designed to hold the nation together, keep it smoothly running, and act as an intermediary between the people of FedCom and the rest of world: both in times of peace, and in times of war.  It is designed to accomplish this without restricting the liberties recognized by all Malatorans, and without the unjustifiable coercion of any citizen of FedCom.

Our Federal Government consists of two primary institutions: the People's Assembly, and the Council of Leaders:

• The Council of Leaders is a meritocratic group of citizens who act as advisors to the People's Assembly.  It is composed of various experts who examine the possible results of every major decision, and help guide the nation towards the future.  Additionally, the Council is equipped to take control for a short time in a national emergency.
  
  
• The People's Assembly consists of every Malatoran citizen, and makes decisions through direct democracy, by a majority vote of citizens.  It carries out most of the decisions for the running of the nation.

Member-States are free to create their own governments, of any type, so long as they do not interfere with the liberties of the people belonging to that Member-State.

Judiciary processes are handled by the Member-States, in accordance with their laws and those of the nation as a whole.
